There's a thought in the U.S. government about getting a draft going (which would include men and women, not just the boys) to get more soldiers for the war in Iraq, possibly more. Bush and Cheney are actively discussing it, and one of the possibilities for the Republican candidate does want the draft. I wish I were joking, but I'm not. College wouldn't be a valid excuse. So! What your thoughts on it? For those who are old enough to possibly be drafted, how would you feel if you were drafted?

I think it would start utter chaos!!!!.......I am not anti American, I am American, but I am not for this war.....I think there would be a lot of draft dodgers, and I wouldn't blame them!!!!......It is a Crazy idea, by 2 crazy oil men........ I sure as heck wouldn't want to be in a war situation with people forced to go!!!..... It is out of hand now.....like Bush knows he's got just a short amount of time left as our leader, so he's gonna' do what he wants....So this does mean if a draft is instilled, Bush's granddaughters, and all the senators and congress's kids are going too?.....yeah, right.....

there is a price to pay for our freedom and many people dont realize it, i wouldnt want to go to iraq but if i had to i would. I dont agree with drafting but we really have no control over it, so much for a free a country and the price we pay for it.

I think it would take more than a little draft to get me to Iraq. Probably a gust, or even a hurricane.

i am not of age any longer and in bad health. there is more to the war in Iraq than most of us want to see. one reason God has blessed the USA and continues to do so is written in bible. just as Israel was and is his chosen people. we are the gentile nation that is prophesied in the bible that is to stand by Israel in the end days before Christ comes back to rule the world. no matter how some of feel nothing can or nobody can stop or change Gods will. do not forget God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for the same wickedness that has plagued the USA for decades . They were but two cities that angered God, we are a whole nation of cities larger than those. the Jewish people are his chosen people and so are we. the soldiers in our military are not just in our army but in God's army. nowhere in the bible will you find that God said war is bad. but if you read it you will find many references as to God sending out army's of Israel and telling them to smite their enemy including men, women and children.
the draft must be brought back for it is not right for our soldiers to have to go back time and time and time again just because others do not want to go. can you think of a better ally to have on your side than God.

we do not need it , all we got to do to win in iraq is send every inmate from our jails over ther let them take out the terrorists.
