America has one BIG Achilles Heal ...oil...when they run out of that - in the next few years or so - America will be finished as a world power.
I remember some American politician, when speaking about Libya, saying that this was a small nothing of a country and when the oil ran out they would return to being a small nothing county...whilst this may be true of Libya it is also true of America.

I think it would be a misinterpretation of history combined with a certain amount of prejudice against the U.S.
While I don't agree with some of our foreign policy I don't see it as worse than that of several other powerful countries, notably China and to a lesser extent India.
Large and powerful countries tend to make enemies. It is better to bully other countries than to be bullied by them.
You might want to take note of the fact that America is the most generous large country in the world, helping millions of people in natural disasters, much of it through private donations. We do this and expect little or nothing in return. When we have intervened in other countries it has largely been a compassionate intervention.
We do have our interests to protect, and I say go for it.

I do not believe for a minute that our country is a "bully", maybe some bullies may run it but they do not have the last word!
Our country helps other countries as much as possible. I do not foresee a 3rd world war because the "super powers" that be in the biggest countries actually do have peach with each other..
North Korea? You must not know much because they are the ones trying to bomb us, with no luck thank god because they are idiots and cannot get a bomb to go far enough.. HA
I may not always agree with our government, but this country is a good one to live, as many others are as well.. Be glad you do not live in Iraq...

because America is the most powerful and influential developed country today, is one of a few countries in the world permitted to have nuclear technology, is able to prevent [to a certain extent] other countries from having this technology. hmmm. it also has a strong military. but then, many other countries have strong military too. it all boils down to the politicians a country has that make the decisions on how to use this military strength.
please note: a "world war" is where more than 2 countries are involved.

It depends a war might start between two countries who have been in something of a stand off to date and then the US intervenes, so history will write it as though the US was there from the start, war costs money, with a trade deficit the size of theirs, and the fact that they like spending their credit cards with a capital S doubt anyone is too worried about the consequences accounting-wise.

Winston Churchill and the u . s . were to blame. even as Churchill did not precisely hearth the shot-heard-round-the-international, for years he become warm to get into it with Germany. on the point that the u . s . entered the warfare, the eu powers were exhausted and if the u . s . had stayed homestead, the Europeans might want to have had to offer up struggling with and make peace between themselves. instead the u . s . tipped the stability contained in the Allies favour. The warfare ended with an armistice no longer a resign. At this factor Churchill's pathological hatred of Germans got here into play lower back and he become in a brilliant section the author of the Treaty of Versailles which forced Germany to settle for total duty for the warfare. before everything the Germans refused to sign in to this lie so a blockade become positioned round Germany. Churchill boasted contained in the homestead of Commons that the blockade might want to starve the Germans, consisting of ladies folk & little ones till they signed, which they did. Hitler used the Treaty and the suffering it brought about to promote his time table. the shape that delivered Britain into WWII become the German invasion of Poland. human beings ask your self why Britain, a democracy had tied itself by way of treaty to Poland which become no longer a democracy yet instead turned right into a protection rigidity dictatorship without more effective "freedom" than there become in Germany on the time. Politics extremely does make unusual bedfellows!

hate to tell you but the whole world is at war in a sense...there is not a country that does not have people killing each other for less than stupid reasons....the killings, rapes, torture, abductions, drug related violence, child slavery, mass murders, serial killers, terrorists, brainwashed individuals who strap TNT to them and then blow themselves up in a public place, biological warfare, chemical warfare, aids virus....this planet is doing a good job of destroying itself, bit by bit, all on its own, without any help from the USA.....America will continue to send money, troops, food, etc. Every single time, as it has done in the past....Generalizing all of America, by what our leaders are doing is not fair, I have no cards in this game, I am just trying to survive like everyone else is.....

Cynicism, and a little indoctrination from the TV media, the Government, and possibly left wing lecturers. America wouldn't be the cause of it, they would be defending western values against medieval retards. Beware, the enemy within. You need a dose of 'real politik'.

If it did happen the reason you would be under the impression that America would be the main cause of it - would be common sense and realism!
During WWII we were more worried about the americans behind us than the Axis forces in front of us

No, this won't happen because like all immature bullies, they pick their targets very carefully. The small, the weak, those with no friends.
They weren't so keen to take on Germany, remember. Took them 2 years to decide.
