I am not a surgeon but I did plan on going to med school (till I found out the cost).. Med school is highly competitive but it's a great field. u have different challenges daily..it won't be like going to work at a factory and doing the same boring job 8 hours a day.. ALWAYS be ready for the unimaginable.. When u think u have seen it all, u see something u didn't expect.. (u would be amazed at what u see and hear in that field.. I went to nursing school and EMT school..I know).. STUDY STUDY STUDY.. get a copy of the MCAT and start preparing urself (maybe not for a couple of years).. Also know that doctors don't make as much money as everyone thinks.. It takes several hundred thousand dollars to go to med school (just tuition)...With the cuts in medicare (they only pay a percentage of anything) and insurance the way it is...don't go into this for the money..Ur liabilty insurance will be ridiculous.. For an OB/GYN currently here in AR it's about $5000 a month... GL and be the best damn doctor there is.. u can do it.
