I was 3 years old when we were declared "criminals" My father was German, WW II was over. We started dreaming of Freedom...
I tell my story, because someone answered "freedom only if Dreams are legal" Escaping the ocupating authorities in France was very illegal, and people who helped escape "criminals" were branded as "collaborateurs" (another crime)
We reached our dream; many people made "illegal deeds" to help us on the way to Spain, and we entered Spain "illegally"
Many Mexicans today, dream to solve economic problems in their Families, working as an "illegal allien" (Et Phone Home) & are sending as many US dollars as PEMEX oil sales bring into México.
We have the Freedom to dream & the Freedom to Acomplish them, as much as Governments have the Freedom to Brand us as "illegals, criminals or collaborateurs"

Yes we have and we must always have the freedom to dream. If there is anything in this world to fight for is the freedom to dream.
When we lose the freedom to dream we lose ourselves. We die emotionally. We become a shell of what we could be, what we may be and what we are meant to be.
I always want the freedom to dream for the above reasons.

If you mean the right to experience a series of thoughts, images and possibly feelings while sleeping then I would say yes. If you are asking if one reserves the freedom to actually initiate the dream process and actually determine the sequence of events experienced, then yes if you can.As to wether one can actually determine the sequence of events in a dream while asleep, I can only say that from experience, I seem to drift off into a dream when I sleep off while reflecting over particular issues; especially if they have visual inputs.
If however your reference to dream means a sort of vision or plan as touching a future expectation(done not while sleeping but with full consciousness), then I would say that there is room even for a 'fool' to dream. It does not cost anything. Only let your dream be a positive one ; for when you dream, you are more often than not guided and motivated by them.

Off course we have full freedom to dream. That's the only thing no one can stop us from.
I use to travel in overloaded public bus, but in the meanwhile I keep dreaming with open eyes that I am sitting in a new Accord. That makes my journey a little less painful :).
As mentioned by laelanure, I think we are dead if we don't have dreams. In my opinion, dreams are the solid force which help us make impossible, possible.
So keep dreaming and also work hard to fulfill dreams. Don't give a DAMN to those who thinks odd about your dreams.

Yes, the freedom to dream is lost, because the government controls our thoughts.
How could we ever lose the freedom to dream?? If we were rotting in prison in shakels, we could always dream of a day we get out of prison. Even though the day may never come, how can we not have that dream???

maybe yes may be no... there is freedom if you feel hapiness but there are no freedom if you are feel like a slave... if our dreams makes you happy even though it's not got to happen, go on! dream a lot because it's your freedom but if your dreams makes you look like a slave when it's failed, stop dreaming and faced the reality. maybe the reality is your true freedom.

would u say that u can learn to dream 92-95% of what u want to dream. in other words u can learn to control ur dreams like u would use-ing the remote of ur television. it takes a lot of practice but u can wake up go to the bathroom ,go back to bed & pickup ur dream where u left off when u woke up. I have been doing it for years.
