This doesn't seem right to do with electronics, but...
If the keyboard is from after the year 2000, it's normally safe to spill liquids in it. (Assuming this is not a notebook computer, btw.)
Water is usually the best way to get rid of Pepsi and other sugary drinks. How? Unplug the keyboard from the computer and run it under the tap (warm or cold, not hot). Don't submerge the keyboard and don't use soap.
Most newer keyboards use three layers of sheet plastic under the buttons. The top and bottom have metal contacts and the middle layer has a bunch of holes where the contacts cross. The controller/logic board is usually sealed and safe to get wet.
Allow the keyboard to dry fully before use. This may take up to 24 hours, sometimes more. If the keyboard is not dry, you will usually get multiple characters when you push a key.
You do want to clean the soda out as soon as possible because carbonated water (also known as carbonic acid) is corrosive and will damage the metal contacts under the keys. Carbonic acid is what makes soda famous for being able to 'eat' through stuff.

Firstly unplug your keyboard! Buy a spray cleaner designed for keyboards and PC's. Curry's or Maplins or Staples will sell it. Spray the keyboard while you have it tilted on its side on some kitchen towel...start at the top and spray beneath the keys from top to bottom and watch the liquid disolve the pepsi and flush it down to the kitchen towel.....after you are sure it is flushed out.....leave it somewhere warm like near or leaning on a towel against a radiator to dry. Leave it 24hours and if you find the keys are still sticky then repeat with the spray. It should be fine after that!!
Quoting the link below:
If you spill Coke or Coffee in your computer keyboard the first thing to do stop working. Save your data using the mouse instead of key stroke commands, if possible, and quickly turn the keyboard upside down and unplug it. Allow as much of the fluid as possible to drip from the keyboard, and wipe it down with a soft cloth dampened with your specialized computer cleaning fluid or plain water.
Seeing as you have continued to work and it sounds like the pepsi dried then you need to re-saturate the syrup in the keyboard to flush it out.

Water is not good for keyboards as it cannot be dried out properly. It will also leave condensation on the electronics and this would cause component deterioration or even short circuits. Also to clean it properly it would need a detergent with it. Not a good idea. Try cleaning with Methylated spirit as it should cut through the sugar and it will evaporate off and not cause the problems that water would. Best of luck.

I've never been able to properly clean the keyboard when this has happened, but my pepsi normally has a couple of voddies in it.
Staples do keyboards for a few quid - I got one for £5. It would have cost that much in effort and cleaning products otherwise.

Get Pc cleaning foam.
It's a foam that works it's way in between the keys and does miracles with dirty keyboards
BTW a quick tip to avoid such things. Keep all liquids at least 3 feet away from your keyboard or laptop.

it really is somewhat overdue now. you've allowed the acid contained in the soda to do further and extra damage. eliminate all ability from the computer. Disassemble the area above the keyboard so that you'll be able to eliminate the keyboard. heavily disconnect the flat ribbon cable. Wash the keyboard in water and dry it thoroughly with a hair dryer. even as it truly is one hundred% dry, re-assemble the computer. Be very careful even as re-connecting the ribbon cable. even as you've it open, seem for any sticky residue or any parts of the circuit board that seem boring or discolored. in case you locate any, sparkling them with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush. Be very mushy.

Oh man that's hard luck. You have to take it apart to clean it, but it would be simpler to just get a new one. My boss spilled coffee on the company keyboard once, I had to clean it out took me all day what a mess. Fortunately we had a backup albeit an older one.

Forget trying to clean it, it will never be the same again. Keyboards are cheap nowadays so the best bet is to bin it and buy yourself a nice new one.
