if one of my friends is trying to commit SUCIDE what should i do?

im 16 (male) and one of my friends he's also a dude, he told me he is going to commit sucide because he is gay, and he thanked me for being his friend. Is there anything i can do???

get him some help as fast as u can tell your his friend and hope for the best because no matter what sucide is never the answer it just a quick fix to a problems maybe he should talk to his parents but if he can't for reason then go to someone he trust i know he went to u but his problem might be bigger then u as a 16 year old can handle good luck

well the best thing is to try and stay calm and talk to ur friend. just be there for him. i kno it must be scarey and you wouldnt kno wat to do. try to tell him theres nothing wrong with being gay. coz there is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. and ppl in todays society are much more accepting. let him know that the ppl who r really his friends and really care about him wont even mind if he is gay or not coz it doesnt change him as a person. try and explain the upsides of life and help him with any problems he has. if u think u cant do anything to help ( im sure u can just by being there for him) try and get him to call a suicidal hotline. or one of those childrens hotlines. talk to a doctor or counsellor. they can help u out too. i hope it works out for him. and good luck to u. his lucky to have a friend who cares about him so.

Convince him, not to suicide. Don't let him suicide no matter what. There must be some reason for him to do that. Know the reason and try to stop him. If he doesn't listen, ummmmm tell it to his parents. I'm sure they can stop him.
