At 16 weeks, your uterus is about 1 1/2 inches below your belly button and the size of a small melon. The fetus is about 5 inches long and weighs approximately 5 oz. He/she has plenty of room to move around until the end of the eighth month and the ninth month when he/she is bigger (so is the uterus) and you are close to delivery.

Not much...just enough to hold the fluid that surrounds the baby for protection. They get a little room to float around in there, but not a heck of a lot. You have to figure, you're uterus is only about as large as your fist, and it expands as the baby grows. Did that help?
