im 16 (male) and one of my friends he's also a dude, he told me he is going to commit sucide because he is gay, and he thanked me for being his friend. Is there anything i can do???

Ask him if he has a plan.. If he has a plan of when and where and how.. take action NOW.. His parents may be part of the problem so I don't know if telling them is a good idea but u can tell a school counselor or an adult friend.. They can get him help and help him talk to his parents..

do anything you can. Physically restrain him, tell your school counselor, teachers, parents or even the police.
I don't want to trivialize high school emotional issues. Young people feel things more intensely than adults and for most people it is the most painful part of life. However, it passes and it passes practically in an instant when a person moves onto the next phase of life (college, hopefully). He's got 2 more years to struggle through and then he'll discover that living was well worth it.

Tell your friend being gay is not a disease. I've known a lot of them that got married and put a family. They have a super family. Their kids know that their dad is gay but it didn't bother them. They love him anyway.
My point was even if they are gay they did the right thing. Your friend can do it too. There's nothing to be ashamed of. He just have to accept who he is and ask for divine wisdom.

Console your friend. Tell to him, Death is not and answer. There must be a way he could change himself. Seek for therapist. And if the matter is getting worst, i must say an early report to the Authorities is a must before its too late for anything.

Talk him out of it. There's nothing wrong with being gay. Society is just afraid of something "different". Tell someone. Taking his own life isn't gonna make things any better. Dont let him do it.

there was a time in my life when I wanted to commiit suicide. I needed some one to help me out I was lucky I had a friend like you who was really a true friend and he talked me out of it.

contact the police. your friend needs help. he has a problem that is not his fault, now please save this kids life! please!
if your friend told you he's going to kill himself and you dont do anything, your just as bad! dont let your friend hurt himself. tell someone.

tell him not to, give him a suicide hotline phone number, tell him that you are giving him the choice of telling his parents or you will tell them. Say "I'm going to tell your mom because I want to help you, but I'm giving you the option of telling her before I do."

1.Contact his parent confidentialy and advice him to take the child to psychiatrist and assist them as per the need of parent as well as to psychiatrist.
