I would not spend a great deal of time on long division. My suggestion would be to use a calculator.
It is difficult to show long division on this screen,being unable to draw lines etc.

One method you might consider is that of repeated subtractions as shown below:-

Example 1250/25

25 1250 20
- 500

25 750 20
-500

25 250 4
-100

25 150 6
-150


Answer is 50 (by adding right hand column)

Hopefully you can follow this method without need for lengthy explanation.
It would be easier to explain using paper and columns for working.
You might care to try it and check answers with a calculator.

very easy if you break it down into smaller sums, take the number you are dividing and do the first part of the sum devide the smallest number and anything left over put under the first number, do a subtraction with that and then bring down the next digit from the top. do a division on the new number and repeat until all done. It sounds harder than it actually is but if you are having difficulties ask you teacher that is what they are there for
