Text that can be highlighted, can be copied and pasted.

Highlighting ... click and hold down the left mouse button just in front of the first character of text you wish to copy, drag the cursor across the text to the end of the text you wish to copy and then release the button. If the text you were crossing over "highlights" (changes color or reverses background or something), then it is likely copyable.

Copy ... once you have text highlighted, hold down the Control key (on your keyboard) and tap the C key. This will load a copy of the text in a memory area for later use. You may hear this memory area called the "clipboard".

Paste ... place the cursor where you want to paste the text, click once to make sure the cursor stays there, hold down the Control key and tap the V key

Cut ... same as copy but also removes the material highlighted ... the key is Control - X instead of Control - C

Experiment. You can't hurt anything so have fun. Sometimes the cursor will change from a hand into a funny character that looks like a large capital "I" when selectable text is present.

P.S. it also works on graphics images.

Ok - "Copy" will make a copy of the file, "Paste" will put the copy of the file where ever you paste it, "Cut" will move the file to where ever you paste it. It all starts with either copy or cut and ends with paste. Be careful when cutting you could accidentally loose the file if you paste it into the wrong location.

It is so easy.....you can either highlight the section you want to cut and paste by placing the arrow before the text or whatever it may be and hold down on the left mouse button while you drag until the end of the section. Then the easiest way to do it is once the section is highlighted, right click on the section and select cut or copy, then paste whereever you want by right clicking and selecting paste.
