many people pronounce it as de-mund but yahoo dictionary pronounces it as de-mand

de-mand... is how I have always heard it pronounced

Interesting. I've never heard it pronounced de-mund. To me, it's always been duh-MAND. "A" as in SAND.

Later is correct. its like 'd-man' ending with a 'd' as in 'and' ;-)
