I know many parents nowadays think that spoil the child and spare the rod is the best way to go. I think it's that line of thinking that has us in the predicament we're in these days. I don't think there's anything wrong with spanking a child that deserves a spanking. If there is a serious wrong doing, I say screw the rod and bring out the belt!

you can always just apply the golden rule . . .
do to your children as you would have done unto yourself.
and remember, someday you'll be old and fraile, and you'll probably need your kids to spoon feed you pudding in a nursing home. So treat them how you want to be treated when you're in that situation.
Be patient. Be respectful. Be thoughtful.

dont have kids and dont plan on getting a rod when i do

i don't believe in physically hurting children. I just send them to their room for the night. NO TV or COMPUTER
