why?? is this usual?

The black smoke is normal and if you drive it fairly often I wouldnt worry about 1 litre in 6 months.
The black smoke is fuel, not oil...... 6 months... how often do you change the oil?

Keep an eye on the oil level, valve guides or rings are a little leaky. Has the vehicle been sitting awhile? Might clear itself right up. Try some Lucas additives for high mileage motors.

A 20 year old engine that loses only a qt. in 6 months? Seems pretty good to me.
