For acute hearing, the range is 20 to 20,000 Hz. So, 1,000 Hz audiable for most humans.

Anything below 20 Hz can only be felt.

I have heard sounds down to 4 Hz in an audiology lab.

Very, very few people indeed will be able to hear 20 kHz.

People often cite 20 Hz to 20 kHz as the audible range, but as you can see this is a total myth.

But 1 kHz is plonk in the middle, right where most speech etc lives so thats your answer.

The range of human hearing is between approximately 20 to 20000 Hz. I would say the answer is C.
