I am just wondering if old fashioned lesbians exist. I am 26 and pretty old fashioned, I believe in opening doors, I do not believe in letting my woman pay for me.

I belive in "Courting" women, bringing flowers, surprises, romatic things. But the women I meet want booty calls and hook ups.

I know when it comes to women my ideas are antiquated. I am 26 not 86 so this may sound strange coming from someone my age.

But I really want to know where to find a real lesbian lady.

NOT BISEXUAL OR A BUTCH HATER.

But a REAL lesbian that is a lady, KNOWS she is a lady and EXPECTS to be treated as such. Am I wrong to be looking for a woman in my age group or should I be looking for someone older????

Yevon,

I do not want to be a man at all. I love being a woman, however I am dominant. I believe in treating my lady right. If women want independence then ok, if they like being treated like a piece of meat then ok. But I want a woman that wants more. And EXPECTS more.

Well I'm bisexual and I like to talk. So here's my answer! :)

I'm also old fashioned when it comes to certain things and good old fashioned dating is one of those things. Not these new things called dates that are really booty calls. And as you know that can be kinda hard to find in our age group. Just wanted to let you know you're not the only one out there bemoaning the fact that finding people is hard.

So I hope that someone answers your question with information that even the bisexual women like me can use, too.

This is a very interesting question. I think in todays society, people put down masculinity and praise femininity, even many lesbians and bisexual women. So many of them that I've seen put down butch women. Even in us straight people, many women are going for more girlish looking/acting guys with beliefs that they'll be more understanding than a masculine guy. So it might be difficult.

Also, you are a woman. You sound like you want to treat you woman like a man does in terms of "courting", and opening the door for her, etc. What if she wants to do that for you? You're both women, your both people. Why not treat each other equally? Why take a man's role in the relationship? Wouldn't a woman want a man from that?

There's a lot of girls out there today that want independence from the old fashion ways that a man (that you seem to be emulating) would treat a woman. Which would make it more difficult.

She's out there. But it's a bigger, more varied crowd now than ever, which isn't necessarily bad. It just makes it harder when you're set on finding one particular type.

I think the full spectrum of lesbian sexuality is a beautiful thing and is more possible now than in years ago. By spectrum, I mean everything from the traditionalist butch / femme dynamic (which is what you respond to) to a more androgynous style, to lipstick girls who like lipstick girls, to bisexual women who just pick up a boy now and then for variety, to the two married seemingly straight women who have a great time together on their "girl's nights out," and every variety in between. And as for "booty calls" vs. a relationship, that depends on maturity and desire for committment, which is also variable. Sexuality can be very fluid and changeable, and one woman may find herself anywhere on that spectrum at different times in her life, or with different women in her life. Personally, I like that women feel freer to try different modes and then settle into what suits them. I mean, what's the point of being a lesbian and still repressing your curiosity?

So you may find an older woman who has experimented with various models of female sexuality, and has decided she wants to be your woman, your lady and be treated accordingly. You will make her very happy. Be patient. Not every lesbian your age has determined what her desires are yet. The fact that you have speaks to how well you know yourself.

i do not understand how previous your relatives are, or the position they grew up, yet listed right here are some words (a number of them quite previous, some extra cutting-edge) that you'll drop as tricks. Boston marriages (conventional contained in the 20's and nevertheless referenced to lesbianism some time previous then) Toms (I were given this time period from the historic novel 'Tipping the Velvet'; do not understand how precise it truly is, yet you may try it) Spinster/previous Maid (unhappy, biased words, yet lower back even as, a lady who in no way married change into suspected/favourite to be lesbian) Sapphic/Sapphistry (consistently-in-trend connection with the in call for Greek lesbian; the perfect-favourite time period, extremely) Bilitis (yet another previous refrence) The Brown relatives (an previous time period for the gay way of existence, yet not lesbians specially) Dutch female (historic connection with lesbians- nicely worth a diverse try) Gynaeotrope (no clue; merely got here upon it in a itemizing) Kissing Fish (time period for a lesbian couple) Pansy with no Stem (really derogatory call for a lesbian, yet truthfully describes it) Slacks (yet another historic time period, one which I imagine might want to be fairly descriptive and may want to pastime thoughts- i do not understand the way you'll artwork it right into a sentence, inspite of the indisputable fact that) and remember the overall words of gay, lesbian, dyke, and so-on. strong success and that i wish issues bypass nicely!

I consider myself old fashioned. I believe in being in monogamous relationships, I love receiving flowers and such just as I enjoy surprising my partner. I don't think that it's wrong for you to be looking for someone mature around your age. I am sure they are our there somewhere.
