Just figure the circumference of the earth at the equator and divide by 24 (hours in a day). That will tell you the kph at the equator.

The earth is about 40,075 km and if you divide by 24 you get approximately 1,670 kph.

If you want it in miles per hour, it's about 1,038 mph. Again this is from 24,900 miles divided by 24.

1,670 kph
1,038 mph
900 knots
