To me, the real meaning of being good has 2 meanings. Firstly, it is simply being good - thinking good about others, doing good to others, etc. Secondly, realistically speaking, if your goodness exceeds a certain limit, you will be inviting displeasure and sorrow to yourself.

Sometimes I think being good means just being good towards even those who try to do bad to you. But that kind of goodness is not really being good. I think that's misconception of being good. We must learn to live. If you are too good (over the limit) and you don't know how to live, you'll suffer big time and suffering is not just yours but it will be shared amongst your family.

So the meaning of being good is to be good in a conventional sense with the knowledge of survival skills.

I have been told that I am really good. I guess it could be because I never put my nose where it does not belong, I never ask personal questions and I always behave properly and I never ever gossip.
