Men are not allowed to cry. Woman are allowed. So by crying, we get a kind of chemical out of their system (which i fail to remember the name of) that relieves us of stress, pain, hurt, and stuff. Thats why we say "to have a good cry".
So now the woman feels less angry and stuff. So men (in general), they "are not allowed by society" to cry. When do they relieve their bodies of this chemical? and the stress, hurts, and stuff then? Never really. Can that be a reason why most of jails are made up of men. Killers, rapists, thieves, are mostly men, or most assume.
So, teh question is, do you think that a kind of physochological therapy could be invented to get men (and some women) to cry, therefore relieving the stress, hurt, and pain that accumuled up inside over the years?

Men cry. they just do it in private and never admit it. The violence comes from an abundance of testosterone.

I have wondered about this myself; I'm not sure if it's the reason that men commit more crimes, but I do think it's at least one of the reasons that men don't live as long as women. I tend to blame testosterone for most of the crime-related stuff, but being unable to release tension and emotion just can't be good. I know *I* sure feel better after a good cry when things get bad, and I know I'm not the only one.
As to therapy, I think it will require a shift in societal attitude, rather than therapy, to combat men's attitude toward crying. In many countries, it's perfectly acceptable for a man to cry, after all. That's not a function of being male - that's just a function of what their society versus our own says is "ok," and that takes a long time to change.

Really good question. I don't know anything about the release of chemicals via tears, but I do know that I always feel much better after a good cry. It's a natural expression of sadness (in its many forms) and I can't imagine how much it would tear me up to not be allowed to do so.
I have a son, and this is one very important reason why I think your question is valid. I encourage his tears when need be, and when combined with a good night's sleep, he always greets the new day refreshed and better able to cope with the original cause of his sadness. Such important aspects of coping in the world I reckon.
My husband is dry-eyed, like most men. I see that he internalises his feelings. Despite my best efforts, he always maintains his control. This can't be healthy. Something else to add to your list of impacts of pent up emotion - statistically, men die much sooner than women, often of stress-related diseases.
Don't know about therapy though - can't see men flocking to it. But I do think we need to radically change our attitudes to men/boys expressing emotion.

the stress hormone adrenocorticotrophic (ACTH), does not stay in the body forever. so it cant "build up" over the years.it is only present while the person is stressed, then its gone, just like any other hormone. example is adrenaline. when your scared, you get a bug adrenaline rush, but you don't stay scared forever, and it doesn't get worse over time from building up. after a while, the body rids its self of the scared hormone, and then your fine. same with the stress hormone. besides ,crying only rids the body if some of the hormone, not all of it. now what you aren't realizing is, alot of men cry. then just have clever ways of hiding it.

More than one thing happens when you cry and she tears. The act of crying increases you endorphins (your feel good hormones), and in your tears you release more than one thing; toxins, a hormone called prolactin etc. Women are more prone to crying due to our cyclical nature whereas men have a cause and reaction type of body (unless their hormones are messed up) Men have more testosterone then women do and there for are just more manly hee hee. I think a lot of men cry theses days, even my father who was raised in a era that men really do not cry, crys', we just never see him (not even my mother). But he has told me has on occasion. I have 5 bro and they all have cried from time to time.

Most men, myself, for example, just keep all that crap inside without any way to get it out. For example, right now, I would REALLY like to cry. But, instead, I'll mope around and be depressed and not leave my room or eat for a week.

I don't think your theory is valid or well thought out. What chemicals? Who did the studies? Were there any other studies done to back up the original findings. The answer is no because this is not science you are quoting. Maybe you cry because you have problems non cryers don't have but please this theory is really weird and it sounds a little mean too.

I think it is more the cathartic value of crying rather than "chemicals".
Violence is due to hormones/testerones more than mental imbalance. Women are hardly a minority in crimes (translated not significant or <5%). This theory probably doesn't hold.

So in other words you are saying;
"Pain is just weakness leaving our bodies"
But Men are weenies for not crying and that is part of the reason men are more violent?
