YES it matters. Not circumcised is gross, weird and unhealthy.

CIRCUMCISION IS VERY BENEFICIAL, its cleaner, healthier and several prestigious research institutions have proved that circumcised men have less risk of contracting STD's such as AIDS-HIV, syphilis or herpes.

Uncircumcised penises are difficult to keep clean, and more prone to infections and penile cancer, studies have shown.
A circumcised penis is naturally clean and virtually free from urinary infections. You will not have to worry again with careful washing of your penis.

About STD's:

As I said, several studies carried out by prestigious research bodies have proved that uncircumcised penises are more prone to infections and contraction of STD's, including AIDS-HIV. It has been confirmed that circumcised men are up to 70% less likely to be infected than those who are uncircumcised. Have a look at this site: http://www.torontodailynews.com/index.php/HealthNews/2006121404Circumcision

As for women, studies also show that circumcision also protects female partners from AIDS-HIV and other STD's. Browse this article: http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/Press_releases/2006/02_08_06.html

About sensitivity of a circumcised penis:

NO medical or physiological study has ever shown that circumcision reduces sensitivity, opposed to common belief. It is completely FALSE that circumcision reduces penis sensitivity. The American Academy of Paediatrics (AAP) confirms this on their web site; have a look at: http://www.aap.org/pubed/zzzjzmemh4c.htm

Circumcision is an easy and nowadays *painless* procedure, which has many benefits, and virtually no risks.
Circumcision is NOT an amputation. Circumcision is NOT comparable at all to female circumcision, which is something completely different.

Circumcision rates are INCREASING nowadays, both in the United States and overseas. Many African, Asian and Latin American countries with little circumcision tradition are starting to promote the procedure to help to reduce the AIDS-HIV infection rates.

Finally, this site has a lot of useful and *unbiased* information. Make sure you have a good look: http://www.circinfo.net

If you're're already circumcised, don't worry about it. The good thing is your penis is easier to clean and easier to put a condom onto. The bad thing is that it's not usually as sensitive as an uncircumcised one. Most men who are circumcised had it done just after birth, so they're not aware of what they're missing, and they don't miss it.

If you are not circumcised, then you're lucky to have that extra sensitivity. Some girls might get a little freaked out the first time they see an uncircumcised penis, but they get used to it. It's not really that hard to clean and if you practice good hygiene and safe sex, you're not any more susceptible to infections.

1) Advantages of being intact are:
--Circumcision cuts WAY down on sexual enjoyment for the man due to loss of nerve-rich foreskin.
--Getting cut causes the glans (head) to develop a keratinized layer to protect from rubbing on clothing, further cutting sensation. Many cut men are unable to ejaculate during intercourse and have to finish "by hand." Intact men can "go all the way."
--without foreskin sex feels rough for the woman.
--foreskin makes masturbation more fun - and better for your partner to play with.
--Circumcision hurts when it's done, even if you were too young to remember it
--a cut penis looks kind of sad with that scar where the foreskin belongs. Uncut is much hotter looking.
--Circumcision has a slight chance of complications. Each year a few baby boys have to have their entire penises amputated and undergo surgery to make them into fake girls. And a few die.

2) Circumcision has no advantages that are not fictional or only relevant in a few areas
--You can be just as clean if you are uncircumcised. Wash. It's THAT simple. Even if you're cut, you still need to wash.
-- If you're sleeping around, you need to use condoms regardless or you will get diseases.
--most women are sensible enough not to discriminate against uncut guys. If they do, they are too shallow to bother with and totally ignorant of the pleasure they can get from a WHOLE man.
--Oh, one that may be valid. Some studies have shown a lower rate of cancer of the penis in cut guys, but this cancer is so rare that it's hard to get a good statistical sample. More boys/men die each year from botched circumcisions than from cancer of the penis.
--Recent reports from Africa say that circumcision reduces the risk of AIDS from unprotected hetrosexual activity. This has little relevance to areas of the world where condoms are cheap, readily available, and culturally acceptable.

No it doesn't matter but being circumcized is better for me from someone who has had a foreskin and some who is circumcized

If you want to GO FOT IT!!!!!

Well as someone who was circumcized at age 28 - the answer is if you want to be circumcized - go for it man.

You will not lose any drive

Benefits are

No smegma {hot day I'd get a buildup of smegma}

No smell {I used to get smells only 1/2 an hour after washing underneath my foreskin}

Enjoy both handjobs & headjobs more as my penis head isn't moist from sensitivity.

My ex girlfriend thought I felt bigger we only reasoned this coz of the less skin

My ex & I had both been reluctant that I be circed coz all the males in both families had their foreskins

My ex AFTER I was circed definitely gave me oral a LOT more.

My EX said if she ever had sons they WOULD be circumcised.

I can now pee straight without the foreskin get in the way.

I now have NO pubes between the foreskin making me play with myself.

I have more intense orgasms much to MY surprise.

Oh yeah afterwards it didn't hurt THAT badly. I had sex approx 5 weeks later after the op.

My only regret was not getting it done tighter as there is a bit of loose skin on the side.

My only other regret is not getting it done earlier.

Look I didn't get my son circed coz 90% of Australian boys are not done nowdays but if I lived in Canada, the U.S, Middle East, Korea or Israel he certainly would've got done. I think the locker rom argument is an important one. I remembered I once got teased at primary school for NOT being circed as 90% WERE circumcised in the 60's & 70's.

If my son wants to get circed as he is older then I'll encourage him.

As I said earlier I only got circed reluctantly for medical reasons and if I had've read the anti -circ CRAP on the net there is no way I would've been done coz I wouldn't have known better.

I've written on this subject so many times coz I am totally against the scaremongering that goes on from the Anti -circ movement. It is rubbish. Male Circumcision is NOT mutilation unlike Female circumcision.

To all the males who've hung up's Re: mutilation - GET OVER IT being circed ain't THAT BAD in fact it has mostly benefits - enjoy your circumcized penis. our parents in making their decisions were only doing what they thought was best for you. So get over it & get a life.

To all the people who've got their foreskins if YOU WANT to be circumcised GO FOR IT - In my experience there has been NO downside. Hey I am NOT going to preach to you if you are happy with your foreskin - then certainly keep it. Why chop off something you are happy with????? Even I was pretty happy but due to an infection I HAD to be circed.

Now I've been circumcised for over ten years I personally think I prefer it being circed.

so that is my answer from someone who has experience of both ways

Circumcision is a very beneficial procedure. Circumcised men enjoy better hygiene, freedom from smegma and associated smells, comfort, attractiveness to women, self-esteem and FAR better sensation during sex both for themselves and their female partners. There no disadvantages to being circumcised and you should not take any notice of those (mostly women and uncircumcised men, neither of which can have any idea!) who will tell you that circumcision reduces penile sensitivity. The only difference is positive - the sensations are stronger and better, but circumcised men can last longer during sexual intercourse before they orgasm and finish. That's yet another reason that most women who have tried both much prefer circumcised men. If you are circumcised, be very glad and if you are uncircumcised get it done as soon as possible.

Not to me, I think the latest trend is moving away from circumcision, if the foreskin is retracted daily, cleanliness is not an issue as was once thought. It is more a religious ritual than for serving any useful purpose.

I don't agree with it. People say it reduces the risk of STD's. Well, then wash it! It doesn't make sense to me to mutilate a baby. babies come out perfect, why mess with that. They say 'they won't remember it if it hurts'. Well it is ok to rape a baby cause it won't remember it? No. Of course not. Circumsition of girls has been stopped in alot of coutries because open minded people realized that it is mean. Girls were circumsized so they would not enjoy sex. Well, the church circumsized men to help prevent masturbation (circumsition cuts off alot of the nerves that helps one maximize in sexual pleasrue). So why in earth do we cut our babies skin off when that is so old school and from a controlled religious setting? Opened minded people stopped girls circumsition... so when will that happen with boys?

Except for phimosis and a couple of other conditions, there is no medical reason for circumcision.

However, a circumsized penis is much easier to clean and will not develop smegma.

I also think it looks better, but, of course, that is only an opinion.

It matters a lot to women. Most prefer a circumcised male.
It is not necessary for any health/sanitation purposes.
