I'm mexican, and by law in my country the police can't touch you a single hair if they catch you carring personal dosis of drug (the quantitie changes by the drug, is not the same for marijuana to cocaine, heroin or extasis)
But after read some questions in yahoo answers (USA), it looks that is not the same thing there
What is the law there? Is not the same?

For Devon L, I'm not talking about bring drugs into the USA, that sound like nacotraffic (a very competitive and DANGEROUS bussines)
I'm talking about like if the police stop you in your road to a party.

In USA, NO drugs are legal. Only cigarettes & alcohol. In California Marijuana is only legal for medicinal purposes & in Colorado you can have up to an ounce of Marijuana for personal use. Sucks, huh?

You will be jailed/imprisoned for bringing drugs into the US. The Government, since the '80s has had a big "War on Drugs" and the punishments are becoming stronger. If you are carrying personal drugs here, you will either be fined or jailed, depending on the amount.

ALL drugs (marijuana, cocaine, heroin, extacy, etc...) are illegal in the US.
the only drugs that are ok are prescriptions from a doctor, if they are in the original prescription bottle from the pharmacy and have the persons name on them.

you can't have any illegal drugs on you here, thats waht makes them illegal, the charge may differ by the quantity like intent to distribute or simply possession.
