My aunt just finished building a guest house...yesterday i installed a kitchen exhaust but no electricity yet...So i went to the attic and tried to see if there's an extra wire in the box but theres none...so is it okay to buy a extra wire and add it into the box so i can connect it into the kitchen exhaust?????

A new house, check the existing wire to see if it is hot (has power), if it does you wired it wrong or the switch is bad. If no power call the electrical company that did the wiring, they should have done a punchout to make sure that everywire was operational prior to releasing

That depends upon where you live, city or out of city. Some cities require you get a small city permit to do it. Your aunt would have to get it since it is her home, you could do the work, but you could not get the license. She would have to say SHE was going to install it. AND if you ar eout of city or rural there should be no requirements, and you could do it without a permit.

There is much more to it than that and from the sound of your question you could easily get injured or killed. If you dont know what your doing which sounds like you don't then get an electritian.
