Which goes in first, the water&soap or clothes into a washing machine?

I usually start the water then add the soap. It's best especially for powder soap since in the past, I would have white residue from the powder soap on my clothing. Now I use liquid detergent and still do the same. I usually start putting my clothes in when the water starts to get foamy (less than half full).

For a top-loading machine, I start the water first and add the detergent if liquid. If using a powder detergent, I would wait until the machine starts spinning to dissolve the powder. Then I put in the dirty laundry. The above directions do not apply if using a front loading machine since there is a compartment to put in the cleaning liquids that go in automatically.

I always put soap & water first , to let the soap desolve in the water. You wont have no soap stain on clothes.

What I like to do is put the water & soap first. Agatate a little bit. Then put in the clothes. It does better.

You shouls start the water and put the soap in before putting the clothes in...especially if you are using a powdered soap.

Actually, neither.

You see, the washing machine is distorted by the space-time continuum until it is, in fact wrapped around the soap and water.

Then, of its own accord, it spontaneously absorbs the clothes.

So just shut the door and start it, and your clothes will miraculously become cleaner!

Soap, start the machine..water gets about 1/3rd up add clothes.That way you don't get residue on your clothes
