You should renew it just to make sure. If you're a U.S. citizen, get expedited processing and you can get it in 2 weeks (normal processing takes 4-6 weeks). Have fun!

Whether u visit Philippines or any other country, it is better to always get your passport renewd for the next 5 or 10 years - depends on the country where passport issued -, though normally many countries insist that the passport validity should be atleast 6 months from the date of application for visa. Check with your travel agent if there is any rule in your country or for Philippines.

I believe that the Philippines is one of those countries that require you to have at least 6 months left on your passport before allowing you to enter the country (because you are normally given a 6-month visa on arrival). If you are holding a Philippine passport and are a Filipino citizen returning home, it is not an issue since you can renew your passport in Manila. If you are a foreigner or holding a foreign passport, they might deny you entry if you have less than 6 months left on your passport. I suggest you renew ASAP. You have 3 weeks to do it.

Renew your passport ASAP. The US Passport Office offers expedited service of about two weeks. Go here: http://www.state.gov/.

You may be allowed with a passport not meeting the minimum 6 month requirement, but Phil. Immigration may choose to exercise its legal authority to turn you back. If so, your vacation is therefore screwed. Better be safe than sorry.

You have to have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after your arrival date. So you MUST renew before your trip. You can get express renewal for an extra fee if you need it. It will cost you an extra 60 bucks or so, but they will turn your passport around in a day or two instead of a couple of weeks. see uscis.gov

you won't be able to holiday on a passport that doesn't have a minimum of 6 months last on it. once you're a Filipino then you particularly can holiday from there to the Philippines yet be useful to get it renewed as quickly as a hazard. may even go the the Philippine Embassy the place you reside. 3 weeks won't be adequate time to renew your passport.

Tony B is probably correct about the "fee" but he doesn't mention that you will also be hit with this "fee" on your way out.
Your passport has to be valid for a minimum of 6 months to enter another country otherwise you will be turned back--all that airfare wasted and your holiday ruined.
Take my advice and get it re-newed.

Albert is right. You have to have at least 6 months validity on your passport to get in. Get a new one in a hurry. Good luck.
