What is the tie up between Metro Rail & News papers?

Can anybody tell me what is the tie up between Metro rails and News papers press that it is circulated for free to the travelers.

Please help.

Could be as simply as the rails providing a market and the newspapers providing content for a mutually beneficial relationship. Without knowing which rails and which newspapers then it's speculation.
