"President Bush is likely to send anywhere from 20,000 to 40,000 additional troops to Iraq as part of his yet-to-be-announced new Iraq strategy."
-- CNN, 1/3/07
VERSUS
"Sending more Americans would undermine our strategy of encouraging Iraqis to take the lead in this fight. And sending more Americans would suggest that we intend to stay forever, when we are, in fact, working for the day when Iraq can defend itself and we can leave."
-- President Bush, 6/28/05

He has the ability to be stubborn and to have his own way. He was not thought well of by his fellow students or one professor while attending Harvard..
Maybe some of you should realize what this man is like.

I think the bush haters need to shut up and stop pretending they give a crap about any decisions the president make.
It was just recently the mantra from the democrats was he didn't send in enough troops why won't he send in more troops, now that he is considering sending more troops the mantra from the democrats is no it is a big mistake.
Give me a break! I get so sick of these armchair generals.

Pulling the troops out of Iraq isn't a similar component as chickening out from the global nor might want to or not this is likened to giving up on our infantrymen. Obama's voting record shows that he has consistently voted for something that could want to help veterans. in case you want to understand the position a Senator or representative stands on an challenge it truly is nice to envision out their voting record. residing like they had to in Walter Reed well being middle might want to be considered forgetting our infantrymen it truly is as undesirable as giving up on them.

How can it be flip-flopping when you quote CNN saying one thing and Bush saying something else?
That's contradicting, not flip-flopping.
Edit: And liberals screamed because Bush was ignoring any input; so he listens to the 9/11 commission and decides he should send in more troops, then suddenly he is flip-flopping.
So which do you want, him to follow his own policy or listen to someone else? He's damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't!

What do people want?? The get on him for not change strategy then dog him when he tries. He can't win no matter what he does!
If something is not working then you change strategy! Further more he has a new secretary of defense, plus several different review boards looking into what is best.

So far all we know is what the media has to say. According to the media the Dems wanted more troops and Bush was against it. Now the media says that they don't want more troops and Bush is for it. I think I'll just wait for the President's speech.

This is strictly on the QT. He is buying time, since Iraqi's are dying at rate of about 1000 per month, and fleeing country at about 50,000 per month, in 20 yrs only Americans will be left, sounds like victory to me.
