Like to think it's a service to the others.
When we see the person in need, even the worst desire, it eats one's heart. Then a lot of sympathy for them. So, we do what we can to help, the best way we can.

Its your perspective of things. If by going to work you think your Boss is using you, think otherwise, you are using your boss to pay you. So its reciprocal.
On a spiritual plane, i believe God sent us all down here so that we can be of some use...but how many of us are useful to God?

You aren't being used unless you think you are. Thats not to say that others might think you are but it's all in how you yourself feels about it.
