I think everyone does this from time to time. I always seem to be the one making the jokes. People usually do laugh but I am sure some feel it is not that funny. We all have a tendency to do that and also don't you pretend like you heard what someone said and you didn't even know what they were saying?

Yeah, sometimes if someone makes a joke that's not very funny, i just laugh a little so as not to break the poor guys heart. Or maybe if an old aunt or uncle tries to be funny, just laugh a bit to please them and make them happy that their joke worked... :-)
