Over the years all of us have seen media or show broadcasts about kids who said they are re-incarnated and geniuses
and such on sixty minutes and other programs...Where the
hell are they now? Is little Tommy foof foo ,Who said he lived in 1800 or little Mary Rattington with the iq of more then most
intelligent adults curing cancer?Where are they all now?

a. The most gifted often do really badly in the real world, because we don't reward gifts we reward fitting into the system.
b. There a lot of amazing people around in the alternative circles that you would never hear of in the mainstream. Try asking the local hippies they'll tell you what amazing people are around.

Most child prodigies end up being pretty ordinary or just bright adults, after all what is a prodigious task for a child is not the same as for an adult.
A good example is Ruth Lawrence, in 1985 at the age of 13 she gained a first in mathematics from Oxford University (See: Universityhttp://lists.paleopsych.org/pipermail/paleopsych/2006-July/005447.html)
Today she holds the type of position you would expect from someone with her academic background regardless of their age, she has not continued to seem so far in advance of her peers or shown incredible genius.

don't know, but a good question....I'd image they may have dropped out of the limelight, to keep them safe. Lord only knows what people are capeable of today to gain power of one sort or another....especially if you have an 8yr old that is in 3rd year college, someone would want to tap into that brain....(the looney type people)
