I am a Senior Consultant at a leading recruitment firm in HK. and I am fairly new here. I have consistently achieved my targets, (in fact over achieved) since the month of October 06. My problem is im addicted to answers.yahoo.com, orkut, checking my email and i dont work much. i feel guilty! but not worried cuz i achieve my targets and have no tension.

My colleagues slog in day in and day out... just to reach their targets some do it some dont, i feel even more guilty seeing them work so hard, while im having all the fun in the world!

HELP!!!!!!

I would still work very hard while at work if I were you. Boss's not only like that you reach your target but are a hard worker too.

If you work hard, get done what needs to get done, then Yahoo Answers is a reward that you allow yourself. That is perfectly O.K. People who smoke do this, when they get something done, they can go have a smoke. Now if you start to just play on the Internet and don't do any work, then it becomes a problem, like a chain smoker who can't concentrate until the next drag.

Lavender-the scent, is known to release feelings of guilt. maybe just put a little sachet of lavender on your desk, or even a bar of lavender soap that you can keep in the wrapper and just sniff it when you need to release some guilt.

Stop feeling guilty...give yourself credit for a job well done. Not everyone is as qualified on the same job. So if no one is complaining about your addiction to yahoo answers then keep up the good work. I get addicted to this site also it is fun and it's nice to give and get advice from people who don't know you!

You're getting your work done, so they are getting what they are paying for. I wouldn't feel guilty about that. I do understand you feeling guilty about using their time on your personal stuff, but... I think these days everyone does a little email checking at work. If you were slacking off at work and not getting it done, it would be different.

You are forgiven! But really - companies typically don't bother their top performers for having some habit. So long as you bring in the green - they don't care what you been see'in!

um..I think if your goals get done,it's better to look at what you've done, rather than how you did it.
