(12-11)(8x-5)=0
firstly, solve the ones in the bracket.
(1)(8x-5)=0

then, open up the brackets.
8x-5=0
8x=5
x=5/8
x=0.625

12-11 is one
subtract 8x to move it to he other side
(1)(-5)=8x
then multiply 1 and -5= -5
and divide by x=-5/8

(12-11)(8x-5)=0
(1)(8X-5)=0
8x-5=0
8x=5
x=(5/8)

Check:
(12-11)(8(5/8)-5)=0<--- here with 8(5/8)..u get left with just 5
1(5-5)=0
1(0)=0<--Checks out ^^

Use order of operations. Do the stuff in the first set of parantheses, then distrubute across the second set, and then solve.

I'm sure someone will give you the exact answer soon, but please try to work on it with what I have just stated first rather than simply copy an answer.

8x-5=0
