The metabolic pathways of organisms living today evolved over a long period of time---undoubtedly in a stepwise fashion because of their complexity. Here are the pathways to put in order: Krebs Cycle, Electron Transport, Glycolysis, and Photosynthesis.

This is mostly a guess,,,, but since early on oxygen levels were pretty low, and anaerobic creatures were expected to rule, i would say gycolysis evolved frist. i would say gycolysis since it is the pure breaking down of sugar without oxygen. Next i would say it was photosynthesis that evolved, however kreb cycle might have been next, although it does require the use of oxygen. So i would say it was Glycoloysis, Kreb, electron transport and then photosynthesis,, however this is just a guess....It might be possible that photosynthesis came before kreb, however its the process most developed (making your own sugar to break down) yet did not need oxygen, much like Kreb.

Warning: I am no good at Biology.

I think the order should be photosynthesis, Krebs cycle, electron transport, glycolysis. I hope this helps.
