Believe it or not, on his one year birthday....my friend's son is walking however, and he is only 10 months....my sister's son is one year, two months old, and hasn't began walking...

My son started a few weeks before his first birthday. However, all babies are different, as I'm sure you've been told. My friend's daughter started walking at 8 months, which really shocked me, but I have another friend, who works at a daycare, and she told me that there's a 16 month old that goes there who doesn't know how to walk.

My baby girl is 11 months old and she started walking TODAY!!! My other 2 children however, waited until they were a year!

Every child is different. My oldest didn't start walking until around 17 months, but had to wear special shoes because of clubfoot. I think it's only truly late and reason to worry if they're approaching 18 months. My second is only 4 months old but acts like she wants to stand all the time so she'll probably start walking at 9 months just to spite me. ; P

My oldest was walking by 9 months and my youngest by 10 months. But all children develop differently, my friends kid started walking at 18 months.

My two boys were 8 & 8 1/2 months. My daughter didn't walk til after her first birthday.

My son is just starting. He's 11 months! I'm sure he'll be "good" at it by his first birthday. Every child is different though. I've heard of children walking well when they are only 10 months. I've heard of children crawling all the way up to 18 months. They get there at their own pace.

Min started taking her first steps around 8 months. Was fully walking by 10 months...by her first birthday I was running after her.

He was 10 months old when he starting walking. He walked before he crawled.

My oldest was walking well by 11 mths. My youngest didn't start walking until she was almost 2 yrs old, but she was later diagnosed with autism.
