(2 1/3) / (3/4)
Convert 2 1/3 into an improper fraction:
2 1/3 = 7/3
Plug into expression:
(7/3) / (3/4)
When you divide, you're really multiplying by the reciprical, so flip the second one upside-down and change the "divide" into a "multiply":
(7/3) * (4/3)
Multiply horizontally (top * top and bottom * bottom):
(4 * 7) / (3 * 3)
(28) / (9)
28/9
Simplify it into a mixed fraction:
28/9 = 3 1/9
Answer: 3 1/9
Hope I helped!

To divide by fractions, first you must put all numbers into fractional form. 3/4 is already in fractional form. 2 1/3 = 7/3. Thus, you get the following:
(2 1/3)/(3/4) = (7/3)/(3/4)
when you divide a number by a fraction, you may instead multiply that same number by the inverse of that fraction. The inverse of 3/4 is 4/3. Thus:
(2 1/3)/(3/4) = (7/3)x(4/3)
To multiply fractions, you multiply the top two numbers (numerators) by each other to generate a single upper number. 7x4=28. You do the same with the lower two numbers (denominators). 3x3=9. Thus:
(2 1/3)/(3/4) = 28/9
You simplify by dividing the top number by the bottom and leaving the remainder as a fraction. Thus:
(2 1/3)/(3/4) = 28/9 = 3 1/9
*points out to everyone else that he said divided into, not divided by*

First of all let me tell you that the correct preposition to be used is divide by.So your question should be "How do I divide 3/4 by 2 1/3.
3/4divided by 2 1/3
=(3/4)/ (7/3)
=(3/4)X(3/7)
=9/28 ans

In a branch of appropriate fractions you better denominator against the full and upload the nominator and use the comparable denominator to transform to incorrect fraction. a million+3/4=4*a million+3/4=7/4. 2+a million/2=2*2+a million=5/2. Now you have 7/4 divided by potential of 5/2, the final one you utilize the reciprocal to better 2/5. 7/4*2/5=7/10=0.7. And for extra precision you ought to use decimals as. a million.seventy 5/2.5=0.77777.

convert 2 1/3 into a fraction which is 7/3 and find the reciprocal of this fraction which is 3/7 now multiply 3/7 by 3/4 which is:
3x3=9
7x4=28
so the answer is 9/28 because when multiplying a fraction, multiply the numerator by the numerator and the denominator by the denominator

first you need to simplify the fractions to one numerator, one denominator. That would give you seven over three and three over four.
The trick with dividing fractions is multiplying them by criss-crossing the numerators with the denominators. (The N is always the one on top, the D is on the bottom - think of it this way - the Noodles always go in the Dish, not the other way around).
Good luck with the rest of that, though. Too much for me already.

i would conver the 2 (1/3) which is a mixed number into a irregular fraction..therefore it would be 7/3..one you have that
then you would divide 7/3 by 3/4..meaning to mult. by its reciprocal which is 4/3..so you would just do (3/7)(4/3)=____ <--- answer
