We estimate there to be 100 billion stars in our galaxy alone, the Andromeda galaxy has roughly the same count and there are countless galaxies in the known universe. Honestly there's really just no way to know at this time.

There are a few 100 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy alone, and there are then another 100 billion galaxies each with 100s of billions of stars. Another way to think of it is that there are more stars than there are grains of sand on all the beaches in the entire world.

We will never know precisely because they are pretty much uncountable, but based on estimates for the number of galaxies (around 500 billion) and the number of stars per galaxy, it is in the region of 50 x 10^21 stars in the universe. If every person on Earth spent the rest of their life counting them, and counted one per second day and night, it would take 32,000 years to complete the job.

Do you mean visible or star we can see only with help? The average count is about 200-400 billion.
There are probably a lot more that we can't see because of dust and gas. Also the stars tend to thin out as you get further out.

Peace
