Erm... who said that Europe and UK has no games developers...?
Traveller's Tales - Lego Star Wars
Creative Assembly - Total War
SCi - conflict
Eidos - Tomb Raider/Hitman/Deus Ex
Rockstar Leeds - GTA portable versions
Rockstar North - GTA (and crazily enough lemmings...)
Frontier Development - RCT3 and Elite (going back a while)
SCE London - The Getaway and Eyetoy games
Lionhead Studios - Black and White
Bullfrog - Dungeon Keeper series

and those are just some of the more well known BRITISH ones... sheesh... who says the UK has no developers....

Because as British people we are better that the rest of them. So we let them find all the faults first on the dummies (ie The Americans) and once they have all been sorted out then we accept them. Remember being British we only accept the best. Let the Americans have the trash. Long live the queen.

Because your country doesn't have any good developers, so that's why your country is the last to get the consoles. Japan gets it first because Sony and Nintendo are based in Japan so Japan gets the home treatment. MS is based in the US, so we got the 360 first.

Also have to do with support. In Japan and the United States, people wait in line for a week just to get the PS3 and Wii.

If your market is the last to get the consoles, chances are your market is not a huge source of income for them.

I mean obviously America and Asia are going to be first, since they sell like hotcakes there...

I've been wandering bout that myself. Im in uk for study and cant believe how slow 'progress' is getting here. Not only consoles but even in movie or music. I guess it takes more time to cross the pond than i might have imagine...lol

Maybe your government doesn't care much to import consoles and game developers figure that the United Kingdom has a lack of gamers or something. Who knows. Call them and ask yourself.

not only are we the last to get consoles, it's the fact that we always pay twice as much for them as other countries!

we usually gt the systems after america and japan, this is probably down to the fact that systems have to be reformatted for western players to PAL format,,,, also if you think about it we are the smallest of the 3 nations so they release first where its likely to sell better!!

though its not as bad as it used to be, the wii was released in britain just 6 days after its jap release!!! and the psp would have been released by now if it wernt for the fact that sony arnt capable of filling orders as promised,,,

its just somethiung that we'll have to live with i suppose
