I don't necessarily want to regain her friendship, but she was my best friend before the incident, and I do care about her. I want to give her a very special present for her 19th birthday, but her parents are so angry with me and my parents that they would probably dispose of it without telling her if it came in the mail. How can I get it to her?

Her parents probably do check all mail that comes for their children. They are rather paranoid because of past issues.

If you know someone who lives near your friend, maybe you could send the item to them and have them give it to her. If not, then I think you are going to have to give this relationship some time, and hope that whoever was offended is more ready to forgive and move on in the future.

Is it her parents that won't let her communicate with you or does she also not want to have anything to do with you. I suggest you don't try to contact her. Maybe when she is of age and does not live at home any longer she will contact you. If not, you will need to move on and try to forget her.

Don't waste your time eventhough she was your best friend. What you did in the past stays in the past. Live in the "NOW". Move on and forget about her. If you send her anything, it's in the garbage.
