maybe the type of protection ur using is not the apropiate, or you do it to rough, or...it can actually be a lot of things...dont take any of these answers seriously unless they are from a safe source. Its better that you go to a doctor. for this matters consult a professional.

You need to see the doc. Vaginal pain during and after sex indicates something is wrong so do not have sex until you get this checked out by the doctor. If you haven't had your yearly pap/pelvic exam and are due to have it soon why not get that scheduled too while you are at it.

There could be several reasons for the pain you are feeling.
Is your partner wearing a condom? Perhaps the latex and/or lube is irritating you.
Is your partner very large? If so, perhaps there is some type of friction, causing you to feel irritated.
Is your partner being too rough? Causing friction/irritation.
Is your partner entering and you are not wet enough? Perhaps a personal lubricant will make things a little more smoother.

I encountered same problem a few days ago. The problem seems to lies in lack of lubrification. The inner walls becomes dry and intercourse is painful for both partners. We refrained from intercourse and used an ointment - brand name Travocort continuously for three days and the problem was history.
Try some lubrifiant in the ointment is not available.

It could be that your vagina is very sensitive. I once saw on tv (discovery health or something) where intercourse was so painful for a woman that she had to have surgery. Perhaps what you experience is a watered-down version of what you have. The other issue is that if you aren't lubricated well enough, the friction could be the problem. Try using lubricants and see whether that helps any.

Since sex shouldn't be painful, something must be wrong. Go to a doctor. It could either a STD or cervical cancer. Even if it's something less serious, like a yeast infection, you want to have it cured so DON'T PUT OFF GOING TO THE DOCTOR.

Are you getting wet and relaxing enough ??? Are you using condoms ???( there might be something on the condums that you're allergic to....lambskin/lanolin/wool....regular, could be the nonoyxinol 9 (spermicide), or you may already have a yeast infection in which case having sex will hurt and burn. (yeasty smelling discharge that looks like cottage cheese) You can go to the store/drug store and get OTC stuff for a yeast infection. (LOTS Of women get them...)

it could be that the area is too dry. try some ky or other lubricant. I also had this problem for a while and discovered that i am allergic to latex condoms, so if you are using a condom that's a possibility. try a non latex one and some lube, and if that doesn't work then ask your doc or nurse.
