Like for me, the smell of craft paint reminds me of being a little girl in kindergarten, or the smell of Plumeria reminds me of being at a Luau on my Honeymoon. Every time I smell these things it is like I am there all over again.

Absolutely! When I was growing up my mother worked in a cannery where they made tomato sauce and I hated when she had to work. Every fall when canning season came I could smell the tomatos. Every once in a while when I'm in a certain place, I smell it and it brings back the most vivid memories of childhood. Also, as a teenager, we used to take long walks to the park during the summer when people were mowing and watering their lawns on hot summer days. I am instantly transported back to the summer I was a young teen when I smell freshly mowed lawn. The scents bring back much more intense memories than pictures do.

Also, don't forget about sounds

Yes, it pretty much does and its not surprising. In fact, scents and odors evokes memories in our brain better than colors or figures do. You can say youll remember a fragrance but not the face. This has something to do with olfactory nerves and memory-making.
