I think it has to do with gravity, when you lay down, your baby is going to set alittle deeper in the stomach area, but when you stand and move around all day, then the baby can't lay back in there, he is rested in you "belly"....it should really be that big of a difference though

I am pregnant too, so I actually know what you're talking about. I believe (and I am no doctor so you can just take my theories as a grain of salt), but in the morning you wake up with an empty stomach and as the day progresses you eat which makes you fill out a little more. I also think that possibly the baby moves into different positions, which can also be a factor, but more so later on in the pregnancy when your baby is bigger.

It is because when you are asleep, you do not eat for about 8+hours and this causes your stomach to flatten. So if you eat a big meal during the day, or have gas this causes your abdomen to stick out more (bowel distention). I'm 20 weeks and in the morning I look about 4 months pregnant and in the evening I look 6 months pregnant.

This happens even to non-pregnant people. Our tummies are flattest in the morning when we haven't had any food or drink. By the end of the day, we look and feel fuller because of all we've eaten and drunk in the day. It's just more noticeable with you because there's a baby on top of it.

When you lay down, the baby probably shifts parallel to your body at night. When you're upright and moving around during the day, the baby readjusts and may end up at an angle to your body, causing him or her to stick out further.

right now you are probably experiencing some bloat still + after you eat during the day, your stomach will 'fill out' more now.

Im due in 2 weeks and by the end of the night my stomach has stretched out further than it was when I woke up, lol
(& my baby has already dropped)

I would say it's either your imagination, or the way that your uterus is sitting. Maybe it's just weighed down more and so it seems like it's pushed out more by the end of the day.

I dont know exactly, but I do know that the baby starts out higher in the morning and drops throughout the day... maybe that has something to do with it.. Or maybe after you eat..
