There were only 5 houses burned down in the fire. One of them was celebrity Suzanne Somers' house. It's not as tragic as the media makes it.
I mean, seriously, if this fire was in a poor area, it would be on the local news---but never the national news.
The Malibu fire was on Fox News constantly the past few days.
It's not sad compared to the real devastating events going on in the world. This fire wasn't even that big!
5 celebrity houses burn down--big deal---it's on national news.
50 middle-class houses burn down--it gets to the local news only...

A lot of things are lost in fires. Pictures, family heirlooms, maybe a Mother's Day card that a first grader made. It doesn't make any difference how much the house cost. There is no price on some things.

F them. Those rich idiots want to live in that area and now tax payers can foot the bill to repair their tinderbox homes. The same goes for houses on a cliff, or seaside homes that get flooded. You picked that spot for the prestige, and now you are homeless. GOOD.
