Is there a limit to free speech? Don't some websites that are so vulgar in their references to a specific group, create a breeding ground for hate that should not be tolerated? I understand the right to free speech, but when I see websites devoted to full blown homophobia based off religious ideologies and the like, that suggest things so vulgar I care not to repeat them, I feel they should be dealt with by the government. Why should we harbor such widely supported groups of hatred?

There's a website that some may be familiar with which I can not site do to its content, however it has to do with god hating gays only using the most profound language possible. Should sites so outwardly devoted to the hate of a specific group be allowed to exist? I don't mean this just for homophobia but discrimination in general. I'd really appreciate some feedback on this topic as it seems many people share conflicting interests.

If you believe in free speech, you have to be willing to defend EVERYONE's right to it, even if they spout the most vile things you've ever heard.

Ideally, the majority or the more rational, loving voice will overpower the hate.

Besides, without all of that hate, how will we know how to truly appreciate love?

If you put limits to free speech, where does it end?? There will always be something out there offensive to someone. In order for there to be absolute freedom of speech, you have to allow the idiots to have it as well as the ones that you agree with. Limiting one opens it up for limiting the other.

What to do?? Don't hit on the sites you don't like. Educate the people to counter act the hate the others preach.

Obviously you do not understand the right of free speech accept, of course, when you agree with that speech. Dont be a hypocrite. Just because you stop the speech does not mean you cure the hatred. It is better to let those idiots expose themselves for whom they really are. I am a repub and my God teaches me to love everyone even liberals. Doesn't mean I cant make fun of them though. :)

It is free speech for all. You do not have to agree with them, but they have the right to say it and I am glad that every American has that right, no matter how I disagree with some opinions. Don't visit those offensive sites, they will drain your positive energy.

why should hating a specific group be illegal to voice? What about when you hate those people and want to voice YOUR opinion on it? Just because you hate something different then them doesnt mean it shouldnt be protected.

freedom of speech is a 2 way street.
