I have looked in the manual and in options on the phone and no matter what, I can't find a way to even change the assignment of the side button. So anytime I want to add something it says memory full....Yeah, full of pictures of the inside of my pocket. HELP ME....

As you have disovered, there is no way to reconfigure that button. The only thing I found that works is to take the phone apart and file down the "nib" that is on the underside of the button. I did this to both my phone and my wife's phone and we both no longer accidentaly take pics.

I would"t take anything for my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone, but that was a bother to me also. Don't carry it in your pocket! Buy a belt clip that holds the phone sideways on your hip and put the phone in it with the side button down in the case. This will help a lot and when you answer the phone grab it from the top of the case, or push up through the openings on the bottom end of the case at the opposite end of the side button.
