What would be the closest thing to ground up wood or cotton, im trying to make a replacement for paper. Also my project is supposed to invent something that somehow benifets our ecosystem or anything biological, no weapons. Thx if you answer

Tricky really.

There are many things you can use other than paper to cover up some from nature.

I reckon you do more better for your project if you attempt to change the thinking behind it by using more from nature and mix them together.

You can extract acid from lemons and put them into water to disolve the wood or cotton but that makes it wet. Would using coke a cola do the same or is that within the rules of the project?

Using rocks (and human effort) is the best thing in two ways.
1) with gravity from high up and drop it 2) grind it

For cotton requires tearing it so using a sharp end of a rock is one thing like scissors.

You get the idea.

use the wood and cotton to make a battery...use a turbine to spin a DC motor and charge the battery. Use the battery along with a LM 3909 chip (Radio Shack or similar supply house) to light up an LED. In this way you have used waste products to make electricity.
