A friend of mine lives in Taiwan. Apparently it's difficult to find Dr. Pepper there. Anybody has suggestions on how somebody in Taiwan can get Dr. Pepper?

kk what town does your friend live in?

if he is in Taipei I KNOW I saw Dr. pepper at the mall under taipei 101. and I also have heard that Dr. Pepper is available at Costco, from other people. i live down in Taichung.

If he is in Taichung Dr. Pepper is available at both Finga's Deli and at Uncle Jimmy's Deli.
Costco is too ball-less to set up near here despite a 3 million customer base and a growing foreign community. (sorry shouldnt gripe. its just annoying hearing Taipei has like 4 and Kaosiung has 3 and we have zippo planned.)
(Wholesaler importers take note of opportunity to cut in! We welcome competition LOL!)

I cant help if he is in Kaosiung or out in the 'wilderness' of the outlying areas... LOL

Otherwise if he is STILL so hard up for Dr. Pepper and you NEED to send it, post it by sea. Pay the ridiculous amount of money it takes to send a parcel (something like 100$ depending on how heavy Dr. pepper gets) and mail it. Charge him for it and have him learn that 24 Dr. Pepper's costing over 100$ isnt such a great deal...

I could be wrong about the price but unless you ship bulk it usually isnt cost effective... sigh.

There is a drink in Taiwan called Hai Song Sarsperlla, one of my favorite drinks in the world, and it is very similar to Dr. Pepper. Have your friend try that. Good luck.

Just mail it to him by Sea parcel, It'll get to him within a month. No tax here on a doz pack for personal use.

You can also ask them to check out Costco or Jason's Supermarket, it might be available there as they import a wide variety of "not available" Items for us foreigners.
