I don't agree with them accepting pesos, because we are in America and that's not the currency. You can't do that in other country's so it shouldn't be done here(possibly in touristy areas); but you can exchange the pesos for dollars! I live in Texas and have never seen that anywhere so i'm actually surprised by that, I've never even seen that near any border cities. I'm not surprised that the workers are required to be bilingual, many teachers are required that here where I live, and if you look in the newspaper for a job it's a necessity. I grew up speaking english until 2nd grade and they enforced a spanish program (i'm only 17). And now to this day I can almost speak fluent spanish. I guess it's just something better to have today.

It's disgraceful. The only people in America who should accept pesos are banks that are converting them to dollars for visitors. That's what I do when I go to a foreign country, I convert my dollars into whatever the currency is of the country I am in.

This doesn't surprise me one bit. Pretty soon this whole America will be called Amexico. I just think that all "illigals" should not enter here in Amerca, unless they are doing the procedures "legally".
I bet this Texas based pizza chain will probably go nation wide, and if people don't speak out against this, it will be chaos everywhere. I mean, you think everyone will visit Mexico?

Why not, there are places in the UK that take Euros, places in the northern states of America that take Canadian dollars, you can spend US dollars in a lot of the Caribbean.
It's the way the world is going these days.

Meh. I live right near Canada, and especially when you get really close to the border, both kinds of currency are accepted. The only difference is you can't look at someone and categorize the person as Canadian, so there's no stigma against them, their money, or their country.

I will not even eat at the restaurants that closed to show support for illegals march. I miss my Mexican food but principles are more important than food. Boycott the pizza chain.

It's a PR move. They can accept wooden nickles or rocks for payment if they want to.

I don't know if this is a big deal. I worked at a restaurant in Montana in the 70's and we accepted Canadian Money. What's the big deal?
