Look up the lyrics to "Drops of Jupiter" by Train.
If I were teaching metaphors, I would use that song as a great example, rich in metaphors for someone soul-searching.

One of the most famous quotations that comes to mind is Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet where she is compared to the sun rising in the east. "What light through yonder window breaks . . . It is the East and Juliet is the sun."

I am not Anger
"I am not anger" is an example of metaphor because it is contrasting two nouns.

"Mary is a sheep, just following everyone else", where we are comparing Mary to a sheep and saying they are similar because they both follow.
But we are saying that Mary is not just like a sheep. She follows others so much, she IS a sheep

Oh properly. we could desire to take the undesirable with the good, i assume.
