Sun sign is the sign is basically the kind of scopes that you read in the newspaper or magazine and it is true for anyone born within a certain period of time every year. A real horoscope chart though, is for you alone and is unique to you. The only way someone else has your exact chart is to be born at the same time and in the same place that you were. Then you have a sign that the sun was in then. You have a sign the moon was in at that time and you have a rising sign, which is the sign coming up over the horizon at the time that you were born. The sun sign is general characteristics. The moon sign tells us a bit about emotional content and the rising sign tells us about how we present ourselves to the world. (I tend to think though that it is the "real" us that only those who know us well see. I think our sun sign is what folks see. Anyway, if you add to that the other planets and the fact that they are located in different "houses" in our charts it can get a bit detailed. The houses all stand for different parts and area's of our life. I often see a parents planet in someones house of early family and a spouses planet in their house of long term relationships. The more you know about it the more you realize there is something to it. You can start out a skeptic and come to be a real student and believer.
