Because liberals think from the left side of the brain and republicans think from the right side of the brain. People who think from the left side of the brain always have a some sort of problem, always victims, always think they're being cheated by everybody, vindictive, unforgiving, mean, always mad about something, always thinking life sucks. They're just never happy.
Republicans are comfortable with themselves and always calmly do their best no matter what life dishes out.
I have noticed the same as you in a lot of my friends and family. The ones who just loved the Clintons are the ones who always have a complaint about something and are never happy.

Actually, prescriptions for Prozac and other drugs for the treatment of depression have risen dramatically during the Bush administration. It is true, liberals are extremely depressed; however, there has been a significant drop in the amount of prescriptions since the Democrats took over Congress. Republicans on the other hand seem to be oblivious to the current wretched state of the union. Psychologists attribute this to three main reasons. A John Hopkins white paper has shown that one, money does in fact buy happiness and two, ignorance is bliss. Last, Republicans proved to have no peripheral vision, a trait that allowed them to achieve their goals much faster than Democrats, yet with particular disregard for the welfare or safety of other people.

This is really true.
I work with many liberals and they have lots of problems that affect their lives and work, while all of my friends are Republicans and live decent hard working or prodective and successful lives without all the "drama".

I'm liberal, drug-free and have a huge smile on my face. Of course, the fact I'm richer than sin doesn't hurt matters.....Incidentally, my closest friend was a conservative. He was in his mid-30's, and loved to pompously lecture me about how liberals were socialists, while Republicans believed in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. When I pointed out that he had never bothered to save a single penny, was thousands of dollars in debt, and had a venereal disease from sleeping around before his divorce was finalized, it kinda put a damper on the friendship. Typical GOP hypocrite, for ya'.
