Yes and No.

We consist of the mind, body and soul, all of which are connected on some level. Without the body the mind and soul cannot exist in this world. In that way I think you are a part of your body.

The soul isn't connected to the body, once the body is dead the soul moves on and is free to exist in another place. I think to some extent the body is a reflection of the mind and the soul but if the body were to change in any way it wouldn't alter the soul. In this way of thinking I think that the body is not you.

No. If my body changes, even drastically, I would still be me. The core of who I am would remain the same. I would have to adjust to the new condition of my body, just as I would adjust to a new car, but I would still be the same person who is inside looking out at the world.

this is what i believe in..
I am a combination of my body and its environment. My brain, memory and logic are all integrated part of my body. since I came into existence, I have been affected by environment in various ways. All these effects are a part of my body in some way.
I am defined by my body and the way it interacts (which is a function of my body and my environment)..

no, we are not our body. our body is a housing for our souls here on earth until our physical body dies, then our souls enter heaven or hell
