Can I get sued for producing original art of a celebrity. I am doing a mural of a well know celeb, and I would like to sell it on ebay. will I get sued?

I think that depends on the source of the image you used, or if you took a photograph of the celebrity yourself. Check to see if the image you based your work on is copyrighted.If it is, and the celebrities people find out you could be sued. I would contact the celebrity first. Some are pretty cool with that and others will sue your a** off fast. Who knows, if it's good they might buy it and want another done.Good luck.

You cannot make money from the image of a person without written permission, unless that person is in public office.

I don't think your artistic impression of a person, celebrity or not, can be sued.

Get permission, you don't want to risk a lawsuit.
